What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Media & Consumer Analytics position at Comsint Communications?
Comsint Communications is a Boston-based, award-winning PR agency and communications consultancy. We work at the point where business decisions become public stories, helping senior leaders make sure those stories are understood by the people who matter to them.
Our team pairs Emmy-winning creative talent with proprietary AI tools and behavioral insight, which lets us keep a client's message consistent whether it lands in a trade journal or a two-minute video.
Clients come to us for counsel as much as execution. Some arrive in the middle of a crisis, while others want a thought leadership program that compounds over years. In every case we start with the business objective and judge the work by what the audience understood and remembered, rather than by the volume of coverage.
We're looking for someone who knows how to turn information into insight. As Director, Media & Consumer Analytics, you'll lead measurement, research and reporting across the agency, helping our team and clients understand how communications influence public perception and what the data tells us to do next.
This role goes beyond counting media mentions or producing monthly reports. You'll examine how audiences receive information, evaluate whether messages are working and use research and predictive analytics to help clients make better communications decisions.
You'll also manage and help advance our proprietary research and analytics platforms, including Comsint Align, which we use to assess messaging, explore audience perspectives and inform communications strategy.
We're a small team, so you'll work directly with senior strategists and clients. You should be equally comfortable building a measurement framework, interpreting consumer research and explaining your findings to an executive who wants to know what the numbers actually mean.
We work together in our Hingham office every day. Research informs our creative work, and insights often come from conversations between people with different backgrounds. If you enjoy being part of those discussions, we'd like to talk.

- Conduct consumer and audience research to better understand perceptions, attitudes, behaviors and the factors that influence them.
- Develop predictive models and informed projections to help clients anticipate audience reactions, evaluate potential communications outcomes and establish realistic performance expectations.
- Analyze media coverage, digital conversations, survey results and other data sources to identify trends, opportunities and emerging reputational risks.
- Translate complex research findings into clear recommendations that our strategists and clients can put to work.
- Partner with account teams to establish benchmarks, define measurable objectives and evaluate campaign performance.
- Explore emerging AI, research and analytics technologies that can strengthen the agency's work and expand what we can offer clients.

- An understanding of predictive analytics, AI-assisted research and how emerging technologies can support better business decisions.
- The ability to explain complicated findings in straightforward language without losing the substance.
- The curiosity to question what the data appears to show and investigate what might be driving it.
- The self-direction to manage multiple projects and improve existing processes without waiting to be asked.
- A preference for close collaboration on a small team.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, consumer psychology or behavioral research is a plus.
