About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Educator/Trainer to support the launch and adoption of an innovative endovascular robotic system within the neurovascular space. This role plays a key part in advancing robotic-assisted vascular interventions by educating clinicians, supporting clinical trial activities, and delivering expert technical guidance.
In this role, you will train healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of a new medical device through both didactic and hands-on education. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical affairs, product development, and usability teams to elevate training quality and ensure successful clinical use.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Training & Education
- Plan, deliver, and document comprehensive training sessions (classroom and hands-on) for physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
- Provide expert guidance to address clinical questions and ensure proper device handling and usage.
- Deliver on-site support during clinical trials, including procedural technical support, troubleshooting, and device-related guidance.
- Capture and document procedural observations to support marketing insights and clinical feedback.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop and refine training curricula, materials, and tools based on user feedback and clinical experience.
- Collaborate with product teams to share insights that inform device improvements and new product development.
Technical & Clinical Expertise
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible training content for diverse clinical audiences.
- Address competitive claims, resolve advanced technical issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Work closely with clinical affairs on case support observations that may affect study outcomes.
- Partner with usability teams to ensure training aligns with safety and risk profiles.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or Registered Nurse/Radiologic Technologist background;
- 8 years of experience in education, sales, service, engineering, rad tech, OR technician roles; neurointerventional device experience is a plus.
OR
- Advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience delivering medical device training during U.S. and OUS clinical trials.
- Strong experience training clinicians, technicians, field specialists, or sales teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create effective educational content.
- Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements.
- Strong relationship-building skills and customer-service mindset.
Preferred:
- Degree in biomedical engineering, nursing, radiologic technology, or related field.
- Neurointerventional or robotics device experience.
- Experience in interventional neurology, neurosurgery, or hemodynamic monitoring.
- Familiarity with neurovascular science and neuro-medical terminology.
- Experience with capital equipment and disposable surgical/interventional devices.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, device accountability, and adverse event reporting.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 25–50%, including international travel.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and wear a 5–7 lb lead apron for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in clinical environments with exposure to infectious disease, radiation, and bodily fluids.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours during clinical support.
