Computer Pros is hiring an experienced computer repair technician for our Greeneville location. This position primarily involves diagnosing and repairing desktop and laptop computers.
We’re looking for someone dependable who can handle everyday repairs with minimal supervision, keep accurate repair notes, and communicate professionally with customers. This is not an entry-level training position; applicants should already have hands-on computer repair experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop hardware problems.
- Replace components, including screens, batteries, keyboards, memory, and storage drives.
- Troubleshoot Windows, software errors, startup problems, and slow performance.
- Perform malware removal, operating-system installations, and software setup.
- Complete data transfers and backups while protecting customer information.
- Test completed repairs to confirm the original problem is resolved.
- Document diagnostics, work performed, and recommendations in repair tickets.
- Explain repair options and provide customers with progress updates.
- Answer phones and assist with repair check-in and pickup as needed.
- Maintain an organized workbench and manage multiple repairs efficiently.
Qualifications
MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK
MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENSE , CLEAN DMV RECORD, AND OWN VEHICLE
MUST BE WILLING TO FLOAT BETWEEN OUR STORES AS NEEDED.
- Previous hands-on experience repairing desktop and laptop computers.
- Strong Windows troubleshooting and hardware diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable disassembling laptops and replacing internal components.
- Ability to complete common repairs without step-by-step supervision.
- Good judgment about when to seek assistance or escalate an issue.
- Clear communication, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
- Respect for customer privacy and careful handling of customer equipment.
Previous repair-shop experience is preferred. Certifications are welcome but are not required; demonstrated repair ability matters most.
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
