Lead Java Developer
Locations: Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Dallas TX, Phoenix AZ or Birmingham AL
Rate: $73/hr
Type: W2 hourly contract, 8 months contract to hire opportunity
Schedule: 5x onsite, M-F 8am-5pm
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Java Developer to join our client''s dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to ensure alignment and transparent communication.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable technical solutions.
- Design and architect high-quality software solutions ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
- Lead the development and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
- Assist in the testing process by providing recommendations and overseeing unit and integration testing.
- Deploy applications seamlessly into production environments utilizing DevOps tools.
- Provide ongoing post-deployment support and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with QA, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
Must-Have Skills:
- Extensive experience in Java development with Spring Boot framework.
- Strong proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of Oracle PL/SQL for database interactions.
- Experience with Workflow & Automation tools such as Flowable, IBM BAW, and Salesforce Flow.
- Familiarity with document and signature platforms including OneSpan, DocuSign, and OnBase.
- Hands-on experience with integration and messaging technologies like Kafka, REST APIs, and data transformation.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with audit-ready workflows.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with MongoDB for NoSQL database solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise automation and compliance protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven track record of leading Java development projects.
