Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Construction Quality Auditor with strong experience in coax, fiber, and construction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys hands-on inspections, and can balance fieldwork with essential documentation and communication tasks.
Work Environment
- 80% field work, traveling to various sites for inspections.
- 20% office work, primarily for documentation and audit closeout.
- Remote office work is limited to administrative tasks; the majority of time is spent onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform construction quality audits in the field (approximately 80% of the role).
- Conduct a wide range of inspections on:
- Nodes
- Amplifiers
- Power supplies
- Fiber taps
- Enclosures
- Other related network components
- Complete daily documentation, audit reports, and Smartsheet updates (approximately 20% office/PC work).
- Review and verify rework repairs to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Assign additional audits and close out completed work within internal systems.
- Participate in Teams calls and communicate directly with business partners as needed.
- Provide phone support Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, to help troubleshoot or clear inspected jobs.
- Travel to assigned locations; some sites may require 3–4 hour drives and occasional hotel stays (company-booked).
- Manage multiple audits across various locations—no two days will be the same.
- Coax, fiber, and construction experience (non-negotiable).
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office
- Smartsheets
- Microsoft Teams
- P2 (daily use)
- Ability to read and interpret design prints.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Network Maintenance Technician experience.
