Title: Auditor II – Credit Risk Review

Responsibilities
Participate in reviews of credit and counterparty risk across the CIB platform to detect and report on potential weaknesses.
Document review results, including recommendations for improvement, in written reports to senior management.
Cover portfolios including Corporate Banking, Project Finance, Media & Telecom, Leveraged Finance, Asset Securitization, Hedge Funds, Insurance, Banks, and Broker/Dealers.
Acquire a solid understanding of reviewed activities and specific industry risks.
Assess adequacy and effectiveness of governance, management, and controls of credit risk.
Perform in-depth reviews of individual credits to assess credit quality and validate the accuracy of counterparty risk ratings and loss given default rates.
Re-perform ratings assessments and evaluate the quality of analysis performed by business groups and the risk department.
Evaluate compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Analyze complex financing transaction structures and capital markets products (including swaps, options, futures, derivatives, and securitizations) and associated risks.
Identify actual and potential problem exposures.
Evaluate the appropriateness of provisions for impaired credits by challenging assumptions and re-performing discounted cash flow analysis when necessary.
Assess conformity of legal documentation and collateral quality.
Add value by raising relevant recommendations, writing clear reports, and delivering presentations to management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
5–10 years of financial services experience in credit extension, underwriting, review, or analysis.
Strong credit analysis skills with solid understanding of the credit process and controls.
Knowledge of leveraged lending and related regulatory guidance strongly preferred.
Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfortable discussing findings and recommendations with senior management.
Ideal candidate has experience across credit review, risk, and origination, though significant expertise in one of these areas will also be considered.
