JOB SUMMARYThe Service Parts Associate will assist Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under limited supervision. This onsite role requires strong attention to detail, automotive knowledge, and proficiency in computer systems. The position operates during standard business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist customers at the parts counter, including receiving calls, greeting walk-ins, and processing paperwork.Handle cash, check, and credit card transactions accurately.Maintain a clean and organized parts area and warehouse.Source and locate complex parts requests using diagrams, catalogs, and systems.Support daily inventory management, shipping and receiving, and stocking shelves.Process parts warranties and return part cores.Mentor and guide less experienced parts personnel when needed.Participate in improvement projects related to parts department operations.Identify upsell opportunities for supporting products and services.Operate forklift (experience is a plus).Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and use appropriate PPE.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer skills.Ability to identify automotive parts from diagrams.Automotive or diesel terminology knowledge.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to handle high-volume requests in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Preferred QualificationsForklift experience.Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.Education: High SchoolCompany DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
