Position Summary

The QC Lead Scientist – Analytical will perform analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, custom analytical projects, and in-process samples. This role will leverage scientific expertise to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, develop and validate analytical methods, and support new product development.

The Lead Scientist will also develop investigation strategies, participate in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring all laboratory activities comply with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, custom analytical projects, and in-process samples according to approved SOPs and analytical methods.
• Develop and execute investigation strategies for OOS results and prepare comprehensive OOS reports.
• Lead or participate in analytical method development, validation, and technical studies.
• Perform qualification, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and verification of analytical instruments.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes, procedures, and systems.
• Support the development and analysis of new products and analytical processes.
• Train on and demonstrate proficiency in multiple analytical techniques.
• Document laboratory activities accurately in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain the QC laboratory in a clean, organized, safe, and audit-ready condition.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with analytical methods and interpretation of analytical results.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17034 requirements.
• Experience working in a GLP, GMP, and/or ISO-regulated environment is preferred.
