Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable distributed data processing and analytical infrastructures.

• Define data storage, backup, recovery, and management solutions for high-performance enterprise environments.

• Develop automated deployment capabilities across distributed platforms.

• Establish structural data standards and ensure compliance across environments.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization solutions.

• Lead the development of best practices, standards, and operational processes.

• Ensure data accuracy, availability, and performance across systems.

• Handle enhancement requests, bug fixes, and modifications based on business needs.

What You Need to Succeed

• Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Presto, Pig)

• Background in SQL-based databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Python or equivalent programming language proficiency

• Understanding of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB)

• Experience building distributed and cloud-native data pipelines

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts

• Familiarity with API standards and modern data integration practices

• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Agile/Scrum methodology experience

• Comfortable with the physical requirements of a senior data engineering role (extended computer use)
