Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer / Global Support Manager to support enterprise-wide SAP initiatives within the Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA). The selected candidate will work under the direction of the SCEIS Development Team Lead and will be responsible for SAP technical development, functional analysis, configuration, performance tuning, production support, and ongoing maintenance activities across SAP ECC environments.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 FI functionality, ABAP development, SAP public sector implementations, and enterprise integration technologies. The role requires strong expertise in designing, developing, testing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise SAP applications while adhering to established architectural and development standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ABAP development, configuration, tuning, and administration for SAP FI, Treasury, and Logistics modules.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-wide SAP applications and enhancements.
- Develop high-quality code and technical documentation following DEA development standards.
- Provide SAP production support including issue analysis, troubleshooting, testing, tracking, and resolution.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assist with SAP upgrades, OSS Notes implementation, support packs, and system troubleshooting activities.
- Develop business requirements, test cases, training materials, and conduct end-user training sessions.
- Support SAP integration technologies including SAP PI, SAP CPI, SOA, IDOCs, RFCs, SOAP and REST web services.
- Participate in implementation planning, roadmap development, and system enhancement initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members on SAP programming concepts and best practices.
- Provide after-hours SAP support as required.
Required Skills
- 10 years of SAP ABAP solution architecture experience.
- 10 years of SAP ABAP analysis, design, and development experience.
- 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC FI module.
- Strong expertise with SAP Web Application Server and object-oriented ABAP programming.
- Experience with ABAP Unit, Shared Memory Objects, ABAP Objects, enhancement framework, custom reports, dialog programs, and WebDynpro applications.
- Extensive experience with SAP upgrades, OSS Notes, support packs, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience working within SAP Public Sector environments.
- Experience with WRICEF development in ECC 6.0, SRM, and BW.
- Experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP integration and middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Additional Information
- Fully onsite role in Columbia.
- Candidate must currently reside in South Carolina.
- Initial contract duration: 12 months with possible extension.
