JOB SUMMARYClient is seeking a contingent/part-time Safety and Equipment Instructor for a temporary assignment. The instructor will lead competency-based learning and assessments for diverse learners, focusing on heavy equipment operation and maintenance. The position requires a motivated professional who thrives independently, embraces new challenges, and stays current with industry advancements through continuous learning. Prior experience in safe equipment operation, maintenance, and instructional facilitation is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver instruction using varied teaching methods (classroom, outdoor, online)Acquaint self with rules, regulations, and standards for safe operation of training topicsEmphasize and demonstrate strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and government regulations (OSHA, etc.)Operate and demonstrate knowledge of common workshop and industrial equipment (e.g., commercial tractor with trailer, overhead hoisting equipment, Flex Track Tractor/Dozer, skid steer, aerial work platform, forklifts, hand/power tools)Maintain professional and technical knowledge, including certifications and instructional technology methodsInterpret and familiarize students with operator safety manuals, warning decals, and placardsUphold a strong safety record through consistent implementation of standardsEstablish and maintain positive, professional, and collaborative relationships with co-workers, employers, and professional organizationsAccurately record and report participant learning and assessment results in the company learning management systemUtilize intermediate computer skills, including internet, Microsoft Office, and emailCommunicate effectively and present clearly to groups or individualsRequired QualificationsMinimum age of 21Valid driver’s license held continuously for at least 5 yearsAbility to pass or provide current criminal history and driving record checkAssociate’s degree in a related field OR equivalent degree based on verified work experience combined with applicable education/training2 years (4,000 hours) of recent, related occupational experience outside the field of educationStrong communication and presentation skillsGood safety record and adherence to safety standardsIntermediate computer proficiency (internet, Microsoft Office, email)CertificationsOccupational certification/licensing as required for instructional deliveryEducation: Associate's DegreeCompany DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
