Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care Delivery:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, focusing on urgent and critical needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Prioritize and manage multiple patient cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Direct and guide activities of ancillary personnel to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Patient & Family Education:
- Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Advocate for patient needs and ensure compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Educatione
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in Massachusetts (MA).
- Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a preference for Emergency Department (ED) experience.
- Critical care background is preferred to handle high-acuity cases effectively.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
