Job Summary:The QC Technician is responsible for coordinating the collection of random samples from production batches and performing a wide variety of complex testing processes to measure physical and chemical product characteristics. This role involves testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using sophisticated instruments to ensure product quality and compliance with established procedures and safety guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Follow all established safety rules, procedures, and company Code of ConductCoordinate and collect random samples from production batches/lotsPerform complex physical and chemical testing including weight, flow, gloss, and color characteristics against standardsTest raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using approved testing devices and methodsMaintain and calibrate testing equipmentMaintain accurate records, charts, QC cards, and files; ensure data is complete and legibleRecord, analyze, and report test results and observationsCollaborate with QC Manager, production, and development teams to evaluate production or field-related issuesAssist in identifying potential causes of customer complaintsParticipate in 5S activities and sustain organization in work areasPerform housekeeping duties within assigned areasAdditional Responsibilities – Level II:Evaluate test methods for repeatability and consistencyAssist with calibration planning and executionAssist in developing training curriculum and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Participate in and support root cause investigationsApprove and release batches in the absence of the Team LeadRequired Skills:Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracyKnowledge of chemical composition, structure, and reactions as applied to production techniquesIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook and WordStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to operate and monitor testing equipment safely and effectivelyBasic mathematics skills including fractions, measurements, and calculationsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesEffective interpersonal and communication skillsStrong safety awareness and leadership mindsetEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science, ORAssociate degree with relevant experience, OR1 year of manufacturing or laboratory experienceEducation: Bachelors DegreeCompany DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
