Title: Production Support Engineer
Location: Boston, MA or Westlake, TX (Need Local & someone who can relocate immediately)
2 Weeks Onsite per month
Scope of Work
Responsibilities include production support, incident management, and change management. Work involves UI and API troubleshooting, log and monitoring analysis, automating alerts, creating dashboards, and interfacing with cloud environments and VMs. CLI scripting is required.
Profile
Seeking individuals who are comfortable supporting systems in production. This role does not involve feature development or iterative SDLC. Work focuses on Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues.
Production support availability:
- Week 1: Regular hours
- Week 2: 2 PM β 10 PM shift (Team rotates to ensure coverage between 10 AM and 10 PM.)
Skills Needed
- Some development experience: UI / API / DB (JavaScript, Java, common SQL). Candidates must have at least some API and UI troubleshooting experience.
- Incident management, change management, and end-to-end issue resolution
- Logging & monitoring tools: Datadog, Splunk, Grafana
- Ability to establish custom alerts and craft dashboards to detect incidents and anomalies
- Scripting and CLI skills (JSON, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Exposure to VMs and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- CI/CD exposure (Jenkins)
- Must be comfortable that this is a production support role, not development within an iterative SDLC.
Salary : $55 - $65
