Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (Emerging Markets)
Location: Gaylord or Traverse City, MI
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) to join our Outside Sales team, focused on driving expansion across emerging and underserved markets. In this field-based role, you will travel across your assigned territory, build relationships directly with local and regional restaurant owners, and close new partnerships through a fast-paced, transactional deal cycle.
This position requires significant travel, strong sales instincts, and the ability to influence decision-makers in person. You will work closely with a Regional Sales Manager and receive full access to sales tools, resources, and partnership insights.
What You’ll Do
- Travel across emerging markets (primarily rural areas) to expand platform presence and open new territories
- Pitch and sell restaurant owners on the value of partnering with our platform
- Negotiate revenue-share agreements and close new business within days
- Execute a high-volume, fast-moving sales motion, primarily through face-to-face interactions
- Collaborate with regional leadership to align on market strategy, territory goals, and pipeline progress
- Represent the brand with professionalism using provided tools (sales sheets, business cards, gift cards, etc.)
- Ensure travel activity remains compliant with company policy
What We’re Looking For
- 2.5 years of sales experience, preferably in a closing role
- Comfort with extensive travel — up to 50% including overnights; mix of driving and flight travel
- Strong ability to apply both inside and outside sales strategies
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building playbooks and scalable growth strategies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Compensation
- Base salary monthly uncapped commissions
