Job Summary
We are seeking a Merchant Onboarding Specialist to guide new catering merchant partners through the full onboarding journey—from account setup to their first successful order. This role ensures a seamless experience that sets merchants up for long-term success on the Client Catering platform. You will serve as the primary point of contact, coordinating across internal teams and providing real-time support to merchants during their launch phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for newly signed catering merchants.
- Conduct onboarding calls and walkthroughs to educate merchants on platform tools and best practices.
- Guide merchants through menu setup, operational configuration (order lead times, catering minimums, packaging requirements), and tablet/POS integration.
- Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Tech Support to resolve onboarding blockers.
- Track onboarding milestones and maintain accurate records in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Identify friction points in the onboarding process and provide feedback to improve programs.
- Support merchants through their first orders, offering real-time coaching and issue resolution.
- Achieve targets around time-to-activation and merchant satisfaction scores.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in merchant onboarding, customer success, account management, or similar client-facing roles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple onboardng merchants simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally and escalating issues effectively.
- Comfort with tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, and internal operations platforms.
- Background in restaurant, food service, or B2B marketplace platforms is a plus.
- Self-starter mentality with a passion for helping small and mid-size businesses succeed.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Familiarity with catering operations or large-order food programs.
- Experience with Client merchant tools (Merchant Portal, Menu Hub, etc.).
- Prior experience at a marketplace, SaaS, or food tech company.
