Job Summary:
We are seeking contract professionals for Megasys Technician roles supporting Client Electronics. This is a hands-on, rewarding opportunity for individuals looking to join a growing business. The role includes approximately 3 weeks of on-the-job training to quickly learn critical technical skills, with potential for conversion to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle and change-out gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
• Perform gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance.
• Operate computers to support job functions and customer needs.
• Support quality systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Walk up to 5–6 miles per day.
• Occasionally climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) using fall protection to off-load chemicals into a drum.
• Wear a supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator for short durations (10–15 minutes) while working with chemicals.
• Lift up to 40 lbs; bend knees and reach overhead.
• Use PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical apron, gloves, etc.
• Wear safety boots (voucher provided for purchase).
• Complete Fit for Duty Evaluation annually (includes Pulmonary Function Test, audiogram, and physical exam).
• Complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before work.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician in a mechanical or electronic environment.
• Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment.
• Military training or background.
• Strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Desire to learn; college graduates or individuals with military background encouraged.
