Job Role: Machine Operator
Duration: 6 Months Role ( With Possible Extension or Conversion)
Pay Range: $16/hr - $18/hr on W2
Location: DeLand FL
Shift: [Mon - Fri] [ 40hrs/week] [All Shifts Available]
Description:
- The production associate has responsibilities to safely perform job functions at the highest level of quality in the processing of media, mesh and elements. Key responsibilities/essential functions include inspecting, cutting, staging, unstaging and laying-up of dynalloy, fibermet and continuous media rolls as well as operating both large and small rolling mills.
- Operating continuous Hydrogen furnace and Vacuum furnaces. Inspecting, trimming and packaging of media products.
- Reading and following complex work procedures and schematics or receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
- Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Comply with EHS regulations and policies including wearing required PPE. Complete all necessary equipment in related area.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent. 2 years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired. Basic math skills and measuring skills are required. Accuracy with both calipers and micrometers.
- Attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods.
- Must be able to read and write simple statements. Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment
