Laboratory Technician -- CHADC5777276

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, label, process, and prepare blood, urine, and other clinical specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify specimen integrity and ensure proper specimen identification and handling procedures.
• Perform specimen centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, and distribution according to laboratory protocols.
• Conduct routine laboratory testing following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform quality control (QC) procedures and accurately document results.
• Review laboratory requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Enter patient and test information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Ensure timely processing of routine, STAT, and priority specimens.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures, infection control practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare laboratory reagents, supplies, and work areas.
• Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply replenishment.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
