Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets to join the Outside Sales team. This position is responsible for acquiring new business partnerships within assigned territories and contributing to overall market expansion efforts.

The role focuses on building relationships with local and regional restaurant businesses, driving new partnerships, and managing a fast-paced transactional sales cycle. This is a field-based sales role where most interactions and sales activities are conducted face-to-face.

Travel throughout assigned territories is required, with a focus on emerging and underserved markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel and expand business presence in emerging and untapped markets, primarily within rural areas.
  • Identify, engage, and acquire new restaurant partners within assigned territories.
  • Present the value proposition of partnership opportunities to restaurant owners.
  • Negotiate revenue-sharing agreements and close new business opportunities.
  • Manage a high-volume, fast-paced sales cycle and close deals efficiently.
  • Coordinate activities with Regional Sales leadership and utilize available sales tools and resources.
  • Build and execute sales strategies that support territory growth objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective and newly acquired partners.


Travel Requirements

  • Travel required approximately 50% or more of the time.
  • Most travel will occur within approximately 2 hours of the designated hiring city.
  • Travel may also include:
  • Overnight stays (hotel accommodations)
  • Longer travel days involving extended driving (6–7 hours) or flights
  • Travel expenses are covered by the company.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2.5 years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related field.
  • Strong preference for candidates with 2 years of successful SMB sales experience, particularly within:
  • Restaurants
  • Food & Beverage
  • Hospitality-related industries
  • Demonstrated ability to close new business and achieve sales goals.
  • Strong inside and outside sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop and execute growth strategies.
