Job Summary
The City Launcher is responsible for building, training, and maintaining a high-quality workforce and customer experience within a defined region or hub. This role combines recruiting, training, and field operations to ensure onsite client quality from the first interview through ongoing performance. Acting as the “boots on the ground,” the City Launcher supports in-person initiatives such as restaurant test orders and sales conversations, while owning the success and quality of client launches in their assigned hub.
Key Responsibilities
Hiring & Onboarding
- Source, interview, and hire On-Site Support Specialists (OSS) for the assigned region.
- Ensure candidates meet standards of quality, reliability, and professionalism.
- Own onboarding processes to set new OSS up for success from day one.
Training & Enablement
- Conduct initial and ongoing training for OSS.
- Reinforce standards for setup, labeling, and participant experience.
- Ensure OSS understand operational playbooks and expectations.
- Field Quality & Performance Management
- Coordinate coverage and onsite experience for new customer launches.
- Conduct on-the-job evaluations of OSS during live shifts.
- Provide direct feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Identify high performers and underperformers; take appropriate action.
- Market Development & Ad Hoc Operations
- Support local growth efforts, including treat drop-offs for new customers.
- Visit prospective restaurant partners and conduct test orders to maintain quality standards.
- Act as the on-the-ground representative of operations in the region.
- Ownership of Hub PerformanceMaintain a strong, reliable OSS bench for the hub.
- Ensure coverage, quality, and readiness for all shifts.
- Partner with Shift Leads and central operations to flag gaps or risks.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, field management, recruiting, or training roles.
- Strong ability to assess people and identify high vs. low performers quickly.
- Comfortable giving direct feedback and coaching in the field.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and reliable.
- Willingness to be in the field regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in marketplace operations, gig workforce management, or hospitality.
- Experience launching or scaling operations in new markets.
Education: Bachelors Degree
