Job Title: DevOps Engineer (IT Production Support)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and support application middle-tier environments, primarily within Oracle WebLogic and cloud-based infrastructures. This role involves close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, stability, and performance of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both development and operations, with the ability to maintain highly available systems and respond effectively to production issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, install, configure, secure, maintain, patch, and support Oracle WebLogic, Oracle HTTP Server, and related environments across Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms.
- Manage and support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (AKS, ARO), and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance, including CPU, memory, thread usage, and connection pools; perform tuning and optimization.
- Analyze logs, thread dumps, JVM dumps, and exception traces to troubleshoot issues.
- Deploy and support JAR, WAR, and EAR files in standalone and clustered environments.
- Configure and manage HTTPS/SSL certificates for secure application access.
- Develop and execute patch management strategies, including regular security updates.
- Ensure compliance with change management policies and procedures.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing and maintain DR documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and system administrators for system integration and configuration.
- Install, configure, and support COTS applications (e.g., DocuShare, OpenText, Liquid Office, Quality Center, Tableau, etc.).
- Assist network and security teams in monitoring and securing environments.
- Perform capacity planning and evaluate system requirements.
- Configure and monitor batch jobs and system alerts to ensure high availability and 24/7 support.
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and technical support.
- Manage incident response, including documentation and escalation of critical issues.
- Respond to service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Maintain system documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and software inventory.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members as needed.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend support when required.
Qualifications:
- 6 8 years of experience as an Application Server Administrator, managing large-scale Oracle WebLogic environments in Unix/Linux systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Reports Server
- Oracle OBIEE / Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
- Oracle Solaris (versions 10/11), LDOMS, ZFS file systems, zones/containers
- DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (AKS, ARO), and cloud services
- Experience with J2EE technologies (Servlets, EJB, JSP), HTML, JavaScript, and SSL/HTTPS.
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, Unix shell scripting, Python, Windows Server, IIS, and IBM MQ.
- Experience with application deployment processes and version control systems (e.g., TFS).
- Experience supporting COTS applications such as DocuShare, OpenText, Liquid Office, Quality Center, Tableau, ESRI ArcGIS, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and application layers.
