Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CBAP Certified Business Analyst with strong experience in requirements management, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and government/public-sector projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience translating business requirements into technical design specifications, documenting existing and future-state business processes, developing process and data models, and collaborating with application development teams.
Experience with government agencies and Grants Management systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support requirements planning and management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct requirements elicitation sessions with business users, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams.
- Analyze, validate, prioritize, and communicate business and system requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical design specifications.
- Document existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and modernization.
- Develop and maintain various business analysis models, including:
- Data models
- Behavior models
- Process models
- Flow models
- Usage models
- Provide clear requirements and process documentation to application developers and technical teams.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communications and outreach.
- Develop presentations, business documents, process documentation, and other materials supporting business transformation initiatives.
- Support the analysis and redesign of core business processes.
- Help stakeholders envision future-state and reengineered business environments.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements.
- Support application development and implementation activities by providing clear, validated requirements.
- Identify gaps between current-state and future-state processes and recommend improvements.
- Participate in requirements reviews, validation sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
- Support project teams throughout analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation phases.
- Work effectively within public-sector and government environments with multiple stakeholders and complex business processes.
- Apply business analysis best practices and industry standards throughout project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or equivalent Business Analysis credential/education.
- Valid and current certification documentation must be available when required.
