Job Description:
Compu-Net Systems has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented IT Technician. Candidates being considered for this position should have at least two (2) years of experience working with computers, experience helping customers remote and onsite, understand IP data networks, familiar with cloud system administration, and have superior customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, be hungry to learn IT, be a quick learner, and a go-getter. This position may require travel to customer locations in the Cleveland, Ohio area for onsite service or team member support. Passing an FBI/BCI background check and having reliable transportation is a must. This position is for our North Ridgeville, Ohio location.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
· Use Professional Services Automation (PSA) Software for the service and support of Information Technology (IT) environments. This may include and is not limited to create, review, and update service tickets, tasks, time sheets, assets, quotes, purchase orders, calendars, agreements, reporting, companies, contacts, inventory, sales, marketing, projects, product catalogs, and invoicing.
· Use Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) Software. Use may include and is not limited to the running of scripts, reporting, administration, setup, configuration, and monitoring.
· Provide IT managed services. Compu-Net Systems is an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP).
· Perform routine IT tasks such as system checks, system maintenance, system updates, repairs, upgrades, and administration on IT hardware and software.
· End user and team member remote and onsite support.
· Assist with specifying hardware, software, and business tools.
· Complete time entries daily.
· Close service tickets as soon as the scope of work requested is complete.
· Develop and maintain forms, reports, workflows, and internal processes.
· Develop and maintain excellent customer relations using various forms of communication, including email, communication using a service ticket, and writing customer letters.
· Produce, review and update customer documentation, and internal documentation. This includes user and administrative procedures.
· Keep a positive attitude and maintain a professional interaction and appearance toward all customers and team members.
· Produce system documentation and time entries as the work is being performed.
· Stay current on vendor certifications, as required.
· Communicate new revenue generating ideas and support the development of new systems and services for the continued growth of Compu-Net Systems.
· Develop and maintain Compu-Net Systems policies and procedures that will be used to service, sell, and maintain computer infrastructure systems, applications, and cloud services.
· Maintain reliable transportation.
· Maintain a flexible work schedule.
· Provide on-the-job training to peers.
· Any other duties assigned to support Compu-Net Systems customers, employees or business development.
· Develop and maintain scripts and programs to assist with daily or routine tasks.
· Assist with vulnerability scanning systems and perform remediation activities.
· Assist with security audit activities.
· Install, service, support, administer, troubleshoot and repair computer, server and cloud environments.
· Install, service, support, administer, troubleshoot and repair network infrastructure components including wiring, switches, routers, wireless access and security appliances.
· Install, service, support, administer, troubleshoot, and repair of line of business applications.
· Assist with the administration of security related documentation and tasks.
· Assist with creating quotes and specifying hardware, software, and cloud services.
Pay: $21.90 - $23.69 per hour
