What are we looking for in a Network Administrator?
This role determines agency software and hardware functional specifications for applications or hardware connected to its telecommunications network.
Network Administrator duties may include:
- Provides Add, Moves and Changes for IP telephony environment.
- Evaluates, configures, installs and maintains corporate network equipment.
- Coordinates network circuit orders, installations and disconnections.
- Determines configuration specifications for corporate firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPN gateways, routers and switches
- for agency LAN, WAN and WWAN.
- Monitors and reviews network utilization to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoots network performance issues.
- Recommends network modifications based on performance and capacity planning.
- Performs routine installations of hardware, software, software patches and peripherals.
- Develops technical documentation for current network design and configuration.
- Provides Tier III technical support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Five years of related experience in a healthcare setting and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current CCNA certification or Collaboration CCNA certification.
