Description: The Therapeutic Aide is responsible for on-site supervision of the residents of the residential facility, directing their activities. Responsible for performing paraprofessional duties related to client and program care. Shifts are available on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Duties:
- Manage the daily operation of the group home and supervise residents
- Respond and take necessary action, obtaining assistance as needed in the event of a crisis or emergency
- Observe and record residents taking medication
- Coordinate and supervise preparation of meals
- Coordinate and supervise the transportation of clients for day programs and other activities
- Participate in screening/selection process for new residents
- Survey building daily and document changes or deficiencies, submitting work orders as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of rehabilitation plan
- Maintain accurate records including daily logs, account of residents’ expenses, and statistical reports. This includes documentation in the electronic medical record and submission of third-party billing.
- Participate in agency wide training/in-service programs such as OIG, CPR-First Aid, CPI, Infection Control, etc.
- Perform other duties as required of the position
Reports to: Residential Program Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience desired
- Must obtain Food Handler Certificate

Experience:
- DSP or CNA: 1 year (Preferred)
