We seek a highly motivated engineer or scientist to support the rapid growth of our R&D capacity. You will work in an office/laboratory setting to assist in the day to day activities. There is no sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the R&D department in formulation development by producing small scale trial batches and test specimens
- Characterizing physical properties of polymers utilizing techniques such as rheology FTIR spectroscopy, DSC, and mechanical testing (tensile, flex, coefficient of friction, impact, harness, etc.)
- Organizing and presenting data to a team of engineers and scientists
- Effectively communicating key findings
- Ensuring sampling and testing are completed as scheduled in long term experiments
Requirements:
- B.S. or higher in Materials Science/Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry
- Familiarity with lab setting and operating analytical instruments
- Attention to detail and validity of measurements
- Understanding of scientific methods, proper documentation, statistical analysis, & experimental design
- Knowledge of polymer science, processing, and characterization is a plus but not required
