We seek a highly motivated engineer to support the rapid growth of our Process capacity. You will work in an office/production setting to oversee technical aspects of all extrusion processes for both new and existing compounds, with a focus on efficiency, quality of product, and safety. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment that will require coordination with Sales, R&D, Production, and other departments to streamline and improve workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in customer trials.
- Monitoring production schedule for high-risk jobs.
- Managing Order Trackers for active orders.
- Troubleshooting extrusion processes.
- Troubleshooting customer complaints and processing issues.
- Identifying safety issues and assigning proper engineering controls and PPE.
- Identifying and analyzing metrics to measure production goals, and implementing procedures to improve upon them.
- Assist with validation of new equipment.
- Technical support for new equipment purchases.
- Training new employees.
- Creating new extrusion processes.
- Scaling and improving existing processes.
- Act as liaison with Sales for customer inquiries.
- Interact with customers on new projects.
- Working with quality control to ensure extrusion process meets material specifications.
- Identifying and executing long term process improvement projects.
- Designing process experiments to target specific material outputs.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience with twin screw extruders.
- B.S. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Efficient communication and time management.
- Curiosity, continuous motivation to learn, and persistent work ethic.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
