Job Overview
Composiflex Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our Materials and Planning team! This position has a complete understanding of all aspects of the inventory control system, assuring the availability of product and material as necessary to fulfill customer requirements. This role is critical to the day-to-day operations and plays a key part in maintaining the company's Quality Policy and 6S program.
Job Responsibilities
The inventory clerk will:
- Assist with the physical receipt of all goods, ensuring material and packaging integrity.
- Perform inventory transactions using the M1 ERP system for all goods received in to or issued out from inventory.
- Utilize the Modula WMS to maintain and organize the Vidmar (vertical inventory) and ensure accurate and appropriate stocking levels.
- Understand and follow FIFO procedures to limit expired material waste.
- Perform regular cycle counting, as assigned, in accordance with documented procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material moving equipment used in the stockroom.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to fulfill parts and supply requirements throughout the shop.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in accordance with company 6S practices.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate MUST have:
- An understanding of inventory control practices
- Top-tier organizational skills
- Computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A self-driven work ethic
- Ability to multitask
- Willingness to operate a lift truck
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate would benefit from having:
- A Bachelor's degree relating to Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- At least 3 years of related experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, purchasing, accounting, etc.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, WMS, or other operational software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
