The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support business processes and strategic objectives. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and system requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and supporting the delivery, testing, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and objectives.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
- Ensure requirements are complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with business goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business systems and applications.
- Analyze system capabilities and recommend enhancements or process improvements.
- Support application configuration, upgrades, and integrations as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting software solutions when applicable.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and UAT scenarios.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
- Validate system changes prior to production deployment.
- Support go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, system diagrams, and training materials.
- Communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
- Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and issue resolution support.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and change management processes.

- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel.
- Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or Figma a plus.
- Experience working with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, financial, manufacturing, or supply chain systems preferred).
- Familiarity with data concepts, reporting tools, or SQL preferred.
- Knowledge of change management and internal control environments.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, financial services, or regulated environments preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Must be able to work beyond 40 hour week during upgrades or new functionality rollout if necessary.
- Must be able to work flex schedule. Weekends and late hours or staggered shifts.
- Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sustain office work for 8 hours per day including the following:
