Responsibilities
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials for operations.
- Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.
- Oversee the supply chain process from procurement to delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify purchasing needs and requirements.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar role in a manufacturing or repair environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.
- Experience with inventory management software; knowledge of Quantum is a plus.
