Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Confined Space Rescue Technician to join our elite rescue team. This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety in high-risk environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Rescue Operations -Execute technical confined space rescues in hazardous environments, ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.
- Plan and Oversee Safety Procedures - Conduct hazard assessments, develop rescue plans, and make critical go/no-go decisions during operations.
- Manage Equipment and Readiness - Inspect, calibrate, and maintain rescue gear and safety systems, including breathing air and gas monitoring devices.
- Train and Mentor Team Members - Deliver confined space and rescue training, fostering strong communication and teamwork under high-stress conditions.
- Ensure Post-Incident Review and Compliance - Oversee documentation, inventory control, and continuous improvement through post-incident evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Valid US Driver’s License (Required)
- CPR & First Aid Certificate (Required)
- DOT Physical (Required)
- OSHA 30 (Required)
- HAZWOPER – Ops Level or equivalent (Required)
- NIMS 100 & 200 (Required)
- Rope and Rigging Technician level II Certification or equivalent (Required)
- High Angle & Low Angle Rope Rescue Certification (Required)
- 40hr Technical Confined Space Entry and Operations or equivalent (Required)
- Advanced SCBA/SAR Operations (Required)
- NFPA 1006 Confined Space Specialist Standards (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Strength and Endurance - Ability to lift and carry rescue devices during rescue operations.
- Environmental Adaptability - Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and confined spaces, often in challenging or hazardous environments.
- Respiratory Protection - Must be able to wear a respirator and safely handle exposure to atmospheric hazards such as toxic gases or low oxygen levels.
- Mobility and Flexibility - Capable of maneuvering through tight spaces, climbing, and performing rope rescue techniques in high-angle and low-angle scenarios.
- Stamina Under Stress -Ability to work for extended periods in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and maintain focus during high-stress rescue operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting wage: $25.00 per hour.
