Overview

The Director of Student Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing special education and related student support services. This position provides strategic, operational, and compliance leadership to ensure students receive high-quality academic, behavioral, and health-related support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee student services, including special education, related services, Section 504 accommodations, nursing/health services, ELL, homeless services, tutoring, and transition support
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations
• Develop, implement, and evaluate student services programs
• Manage departmental budgets and oversee grant writing and administration
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate student services staff and service providers
• Coordinate services with external providers and community agencies
• Support crisis response planning and complex student situations
• Partner with leadership to align student services with organizational goals
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Special Education Administration, or related field
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Special Education Administrator (or equivalent)
• 5 years of experience in special education or student services
• 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of special education law, ADA, and Section 504
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
