Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support full-cycle accounting operations across multiple entities and locations within our real estate, property management, and construction portfolio. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, hands-on experience with lease accounting, and proficiency in Yardi. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage accounting for multiple entities and locations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across portfolios
- Handle lease accounting, including rent schedules, escalations, straight-line rent, and related reconciliations
- Prepare and review CAM reconciliations (preferred), including tenant billings and annual true-ups
- Support construction and development accounting, including job cost tracking and capitalization
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with audits, tax preparation support, and internal reporting requests
- Collaborate with property management, asset management, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify process improvements and support accounting best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, property management, or construction
- Strong experience with full-cycle accounting
- Proven experience supporting multi-location and multi-entity accounting environments
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Yardi experience is required
- Experience with lease accounting strongly preferred
- Experience preparing or reviewing CAM reconciliations is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA or CPA-eligible a plus
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
Salary : $85,000
