Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely process payroll for employees, which includes calculating gross wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Review and reconcile employee timekeeping records, and maintain confidential and accurate payroll files.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholdings and benefit deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and provide support for issues concerning pay, benefits, and deductions.
- Generate, review, and submit various payroll reports, including tax filings, employee earnings statements, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the HR team on benefits administration (e.g., 401k) and assist with year-end processing, including W-2 forms.
- Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary records and documentation.
- Prior experience in payroll processing is essential.
- Experience processing W2 and 1099 employees is key to success in this position
- Proficiency with payroll software is critical, as is a strong understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
