Assemble large custom-built equipment, weldments, and fabricated components according to blueprints and work instructions
Read and interpret intermediate-level blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications to determine proper fit, alignment, and assembly sequence
Perform mechanical fitting and assembly requiring accurate layout, alignment, and positioning of components
Work to tight tolerances including press fits, slip fits, and precision alignment of mechanical parts
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and levels to verify dimensions and fit
Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and other mechanical assembly tools safely and effectively
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to position and move components during assembly
Perform torch heating, minor welding, or fitting work when required to achieve proper alignment and fit
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical fitting, heavy assembly, or custom fabrication environment
Skilled and Semi-Skilled Trades; Construction; Manufacturing/Industrial; Office; Professional; General Labor
