As the Reagent Manufacturing Manager, you will lead our in-house reagent production team and oversee the setup and scale-up of our reagent manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in driving the output of one of our most critical revenue-generating product lines.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead day-to-day reagent manufacturing, kit assembly, and finished goods qualification.
- Train, coach, and manage a team of manufacturing staff.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for reagent production failures.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, and internal SOPs.
- Coordinate with R&D, Quality, and Logistics to ensure timely product delivery.
- Manage raw material inventory and production schedules to meet sales forecasts.
- Lead implementation of new manufacturing processes, improvements, and scale-up plans.
- Conduct and support quality assurance activities and internal audits.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK
- Location: San Jose, CA (on-site)
- Occasional travel to external contract manufacturers or conferences may be required (<10%)
WHAT YOU WILL BRING US
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in reagent manufacturing within life science, biotechnology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience operating under GMP or ISO standards.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and scaling production.
- Knowledge of NGS workflows and reagents preferred.
- Experience with tech transfer, facility setup, or new product introduction is a plus.
WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific field.
HOW WE WILL REWARD YOU
The base salary range for this position is $135,000–$170,000 per year.
