- Clinical Oversight: Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluate residents’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting status changes to the DON and physicians immediately.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Maintain precise records of care, vital signs, and clinical interventions in strict compliance with state regulations.
- Medication & Treatment: Transcribe physician orders to MARs with meticulous detail; safely prepare and administer medications and complex treatments.
- Unit Leadership: Supervise and mentor LPNs and CNAs, ensuring the highest standards of care and adherence to facility protocols.
- Collaborative Planning: Act as a key member of the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and refine personalized resident care plans.
- Emergency Response: Lead the clinical response during emergency situations, ensuring resident safety and effective communication with emergency services.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Wisconsin.
- Critical Thinking: Strong clinical judgment and the ability to act decisively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute settings is highly valued; however, new graduates with a passion for geriatrics are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a diverse nursing team and communicate effectively with families.
