- Flexible Hours: Your day varies depending on admission needs, giving you a level of control not found in traditional nursing roles.
- No Floor Assignments: Your focus is on assessment and care planning, not daily med passes or floor staffing.
- No Weekends! (Except for one weekend per month as part of the on-call rotation).
As the Admission RN Manager, you will serve as the primary clinical partner for new arrivals, overseeing the transition into our care:
- Clinical Welcome: Welcome residents and families during the admission process, providing empathetic education and reassurance.
- Assessment & Care Planning: Complete thorough nursing assessments to understand immediate and long-term needs; develop and initiate individualized care plans.
- Order Management: Review and confirm physician admission orders for accuracy and completeness; transcribe orders to MARs and coordinate with the pharmacy.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Lead the clinical team during the admission phase and collaborate with the broader team to ensure a smooth, person-centered transition.
- Precise Documentation: Maintain precise, legally compliant medical records and treatment observations from day one.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience: Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage complex assessments independently.
- Communication: Warmth, clarity, and confidence when speaking with families and residents.
- Approach: A value for accuracy, organization, and person-centered care without the chaos of floor nursing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic computer systems.
