Admissions Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field
• Prior admissions experience in long term care
• Possess a passion for marketing and building census
• Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports
• Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork
• Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates
• Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month
• Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested
• Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability
• Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate
• Maintain close contact with all referral sources
• Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly
• Positive, energetic, and creative individual
• Ability to work independently or part of a group
