We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Analyst to join our corporate team in Toms River, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, reconciling payroll reports, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process multi-state payroll for corporate and facility employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits
Maintain payroll records and generate reports for internal use and audits
Assist in month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations
Support tax filings and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations
Analyze payroll trends and provide insights or recommendations to improve processes
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy
Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a healthcare or multi-location organization
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, or similar systems)
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and wage and hour laws
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication and organizational skills
