Responsibilities

• Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles of all types.
• Conduct safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting on vehicles to facilitate recovery or prepare them for transport.
• Use automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle conditions and determine appropriate recovery methods.
• Follow proper cargo securement procedures to ensure safe transportation of vehicles, adhering to industry standards.
• Engage with customers professionally, providing clear communication and exceptional service during roadside assistance calls.
• Manage conflict situations effectively, maintaining composure and professionalism in high-pressure scenarios.
• Assist with load & unload operations, ensuring safety and efficiency during vehicle transfers.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle recoveries, towing logs, and inspection reports for compliance and operational tracking.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving and flatbed towing preferred.
• Proven experience operating tow trucks, including car towing, vehicle recovery towing, and flatbed operations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently over long distances or in challenging conditions.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and manage conflict professionally.
• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures for truck drivers and familiarity with vehicle mechanics for truck maintenance.
• Physical ability to load/unload vehicles safely, handle heavy equipment like forklifts if needed, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
• Commitment to safety standards and adherence to all traffic laws while operating commercial vehicles.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
