- Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in their homes assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents by monitoring their health and well-being.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting and transferring individuals as needed.
- Adhere to individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each client, including those with developmental disabilities or memory care requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to appropriate personnel.
- Foster a supportive and respectful environment that upholds resident rights and promotes independence.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their emotional well-being and encourage social interaction.
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Experience
- Previous experience in direct support roles, home health care, or social work is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings is highly valued.
- A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
