Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our dynamic, well established and growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of health conditions. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, including children and those with unique and complex medical concerns. TheNP/PA will work collaboratively with Physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning for patients.
- Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Utilize eClinical Works EMR (ECW) for documentation and patient management.
- Participate in sterile procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
- Maintain through continuing education, the latest and most updated standards of care.

Qualifications
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and management
- Experience in prescribing medications, conducting physical exams, and performing minor procedures
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed, accurate medical records and utilizing electronic health record systems
- Advanced certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Tennessee
- Master's degree in a related field and demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing medical education
- Experience in Family Medicine, Primary care, Urgent care, or a related field preferred.
