Position Overview:
The Group Facilitator will be responsible for leading therapeutic group sessions, providing support to clients in a clinical setting, providing clinical support outside of group hours and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in group therapy facilitation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. This is a full-time position and will require on-site presence at both our residential and outpatient facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients dealing with mental health issues, or co-occurring disorders.
- Develop and implement group curriculum tailored to the needs of clients.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other staff to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are followed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes.
- Monitor client participation and progress, adjusting the approach as necessary to meet therapeutic goals.
- Provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for clients to share and engage in group activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field REQUIRED
- Experience facilitating group therapy in a mental health or addiction treatment setting.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
- Ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and build therapeutic rapport.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a therapist (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification
