Candidate must have a clear and valid Drivers License - Required
Candidate must be able to pass a ACHA level II background screen - Required
Must have experience with the Mental Health Population - Required
Candidate must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent - Required
JOB DESCRIPTION
CBH is looking for a passionate individual to join our BHT department at our Residential Treatment Center location in Hollywood. As a Behavioral Health Technician at CBH you will participate in the implementation of patients' treatment plan by:
- Providing care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior
- Developing positive relationships with patients and co-workers
- Following facility policies and procedures implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
- Actively participate as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction
- Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.
- Primary liaison between the clinical team and the patients of CBH.
- Work closely with the department head to meat department goals.
