Bilingual Farm Operations Coordinator
We are looking for a Bilingual English/Spanish Farm Operations Coordinator to support daily farm operations, post-harvest activities, inventory, employee onboarding, and administrative tasks. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working in an active farm environment and communicating with field employees and management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a bilingual liaison between management and Spanish-speaking field employees.
- Translate work instructions, safety procedures, and operational information as needed.
- Receive harvested organic crops and coordinate transfer to cooler/storage areas.
- Assist with sorting, separating, and preparing crops according to daily orders.
- Maintain inventory records, supply logs, and other daily operational paperwork.
- Enter field and inventory information into computer systems.
- Assist with organic certification records and documentation.
- Maintain records of organic inputs and chemical applications.
- Assist with onboarding seasonal employees and completing initial hiring paperwork.
- Support the Head Grower and management with daily farm operations and administrative tasks.
- Follow all safety, organic farming, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Previous farm, agricultural, warehouse, operations, or similar hands-on experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working in an active farm environment, including cold storage/cooler areas.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must obtain or currently possess a valid Illinois Pesticide Applicator License within the required timeframe.
