Position Summary
This position serves as an immersive event and management training role, giving you broad exposure to leading staff, coordinating vendors, managing safety, and delivering a strong guest experience across large‑scale corporate family‑day events nationwide. As a Corporate Event Manager, you’ll oversee event execution from setup through teardown—managing logistics, directing staff, and supporting the Lead Event Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Event Preparation
- Review event contracts, layouts, schedules, and operational plans.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and departure timing with the Lead Event Manager.
· Drive delivery vehicles from CRE’s Delivery Center in LaVergne, TN to event sites using a 26’ box truck, following DOT regulations. (Training provided.)
- Manage cash advances and travel‑related spending.
Event Setup & Site Management
- Manage unloading, staging, and assembling event infrastructure according to site layout and contract.
- Lead event staff in safe, efficient setup.
- Ensure equipment and catering and entertainment areas are installed, tested, and functional.
- Troubleshoot issues and serve as point of contact for vendors and venues.
- Monitor event flow, staff positioning, and timing.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized event site.
Event Run & Guest Experience
- Train, assign, and supervise event staff and volunteers.
- Ensure safe, smooth event operations and guest flow.
- Support catering, entertainment and guest engagement needs.
- Partner with the Lead Event Manager to address operational challenges.
Breakdown & Post‑Event
- Oversee safe teardown, packing, loading, and site cleanliness.
- Assist with inventories and documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role supervises event staff by providing instruction, real‑time direction, and ongoing support throughout all event phases, while maintaining a positive, safe, and professional team environment for temporary laborers and volunteers.
Travel Requirements and Work Environment
- Multi‑day trips requiring onsite presence and significant travel.
- Early mornings, long days, and weekend work are common.
- Fast‑paced, high‑energy event settings.
· Primarily outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
· Employee housing is available.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Active participation in event setup, breakdown, and equipment movement.
- Ability to drive 26‑ft box trucks. (Training provided)
Requirements, Preferred Education & Experience
- Event operations, logistics, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be 21 years old.
- Compass Rose Events conducts motor vehicle and criminal background checks as part of the pre‑employment process.
- Compass Rose Events conducts drug and alcohol testing as part of pre‑employment screening and performs random testing throughout employment.

Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
