IT Specialist (Independent Contractor)
Compass Integration LLC, a premier provider of Information Technology solutions, is seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Contractor to fill a full-time IT Specialist position.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in networking and telecommunications, along with experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 environments. This position requires excellent technical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
- Support and administer Microsoft Office 365 services and related technologies.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Perform onsite and remote technical support for clients.
- Configure and support routers, switches, wireless networks, and related equipment.
- Document work performed, maintain service records, and provide status updates as required.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours, weekend, and emergency support.
- Travel to client locations within the assigned service area.
QualificationsRequired
- Background in networking and telecommunications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel within a two-hour radius of Chillicothe.
Preferred
- CompTIA Network certification.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or other Cisco certifications.
- Experience with network infrastructure, firewalls, wireless systems, and VoIP technologies.
- Additional Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule for evenings and weekends is required.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and technical expertise.
