Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook to join our culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner meals, while maintaining the highest safety and cleanliness standards. Duties
- Assist in preparing meals according to established and standardized recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and utensils.
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, and prep area while cooking and during regular cleaning and sanitation tasks.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
- Contribute to food presentation that meets policy standards and enhances the dining experience.
Skills
- Commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
- ServSafe standards and practices are preferred. Willing to train in house ServSafe to gain certification.
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and ability to execute recipe.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent knife skills including slicing techniques for various ingredients.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and team members.
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and serving protocols.
- Experience in meal preparation for large groups or catering environments is a plus.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
